Defining Radical Craft: Political and Ecological Entanglements in the Making

Activity: Invited expertiseInvited presentation

Description

Drawing on pluriversal design theories, ecological literature, and observations from my fieldwork, this talk is a journey that aims to explore the relationships between craft, activism, communities, and social change, which tie together making, society, and ecosystems; and it might reveal that radical craft is not only an artistic expression of dissent, but a cultural tool that emerges from a (grass)root system of communities working together to generate and support just eco-social alternatives to the status quo.
