Lay Summary
This research examines giving behaviours within the Indonesian Muslim community and concerning religious and social motives. To understand Muslim giving behaviours, both the practice and motives of religious and general charitable giving are considered. Employing primary data from survey and secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 2014/2015, this investigation empirically focuses on the impact of religiosity and social capital on individual giving decisions, habits, and donation allocation preferences.
