Research interests

My research focuses on the ongoing ecological crisis and explores how craft initiatives can enable sustainability cultures for eco-social shifts. I approach craft from a design anthropology perspective where I define craft as a common and social enabler. Using graphic ethnography and participant observation, I study the cultural dynamics generated in craft communities to investigate how craft becomes a tool for radical change, or, in other words, how craft becomes radical. But what does it mean for craft to be radical? What is radical craft? Is radical craft a disruptive force or a way to create something different?
