Personal profile

Research interests

My interests lie in women's self-creation in both art and everyday life. I specialise in embodied practices and am examining women's self-creation to better understand the real-world barriers they encounter when trying to self-actualise.

My particular interests are in the creation and curation of performing and visual arts. My research explores paradoxes through self-portraiture to ask and answer philosophical questions about how women experience self-actualisation. In the research I am developing alternative ways of thinking about and measuring self-actualisation in women through arts practice.
