Research interests

Esme is a Forensic Practitioner at Kingston Analytical Services Toxicology (KAST), KU's in-house UKAS accredited toxicology testing laboratory. She holds an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science from Kingston University. Her final-year research project focused on assessing alcohol bioavailability and elimination rates while investigating modifications to the Widmark factor, enhancing her expertise in alcohol analysis and pharmacokinetics.

Esme is proficient in alcohol analysis using headspace GC-FID, as well as the analysis of Section 5A drugs and compounds through GC-MS/MS and LC-MS. Proud Kingston University alum and an active member of the London Toxicology Group, the Chartered Society of Forensic Science, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Esme's doctoral research focuses on advancing HRMS-based bioanalytical methods for therapeutic drug monitoring and biomarker discovery, under KASTs ISO 17025 accreditation scope.
