Research interests

I have over 25 years experience as PI with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, directing (supervising) 28 PhDs to completion, and numerous PDRAs. 

I joined Kingston University in September 2017, after 17.5 years at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway, now University of Galway). At Galway, I was Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and for a time Vice Dean for Research at the College of Science. I am Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) since 2009. 

In 2026, I am an EPSRC-funded Senior Visiting Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of New South Wales, UNSW Sydney, Australia.
