I have over 25 years experience as PI with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, directing (supervising) 28 PhDs to completion, and numerous PDRAs.

I joined Kingston University in September 2017, to take up the chair of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy, after 17.5 years at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway, now University of Galway). At Galway, I was Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and for a time Vice Dean for Research at the College of Science. I am Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) since 2009.

In 2026, I am an EPSRC-funded Senior Visiting Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of New South Wales, UNSW Sydney, Australia.
