Research interests

Gaëlle Vallée-Tourangeau is Professor of Behavioural Science at Kingston Business School, where she served as Director of Research and Enterprise (2019–2025). Her research explores the psychological and behavioural mechanisms that shape human decision-making, creativity, and motivation—particularly in contexts such as healthcare, sustainability, and organisational change.

She leads the Behavioural Science and Creative Insights (BeSCi) research group and co-directs the BRAINS Lab, advancing interdisciplinary research on behavioural intelligence and neurotechnological systems. Her work has informed policy and practice across sectors, including global health, vaccine hesitancy, and peer-review cognition.

Gaëlle’s expertise spans cognitive psychology, applied behavioural science, and innovative research methods such as multimedia cognitive ethnography and eye-tracking. She has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals including Psychological ScienceCognitionJournal of Experimental Psychology, and Vaccine, and has received funding from the Wellcome Trust, Leverhulme Trust, Sanofi-Pasteur, and the French National Research Agency.

She is a former President of the European Association for Decision Making and an Associate Editor for the European Review of Applied Psychology. Her outreach work includes keynote lectures, media interviews, and consultancy for organisations such as Sanofi-Pasteur, WHO, and PromoVeritas.
