Mozadded Hossan

Mozadded Hossan is a PhD candidate in Economics at Kingston University, London supervised by Professor Javier Ortega (Kingston University and LSE), Assistant Professor Shaikh Eskander (University of Alabama at Birmingham and LSE) and Senior Lecturer Rex McKenzie (Kingston University). His research interests include sustainable development, political economy, institutions, green finance, central banking, and industrial policy.

He holds an MSc in Economic Policy from SOAS, University of London, and an MBA from the University of Roehampton, London. Before academia, his professional experience spanned roles in accounting and business management across numerous organisations in both Bangladesh and in the UK.

He is a member of the Post Keynesian Economic Society (PKES) and YSI Institute for New Economic Thinking and has worked as a postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL.

His doctoral research funded by Kingston University, examines the determinants of the adoption of green finance policy, the factors influencing investment in green sectors, and the drivers of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction for a panel of around 200 countries over the period 1990-2024.
