Research interests
I am a former IT professional and a qualified specialist teacher and assessor for exam access arrangements or Disabled Students’ Allowances. I am a full member of PATOSS and hold an Assessment Practising Certificate, as well as being an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have worked in primary, secondary, and Higher Education settings to facilitate study skills and independent learning, which I continue to do to this day.
My PhD research, driven by lived experience as a parent of an autistic family member, aimed to collaborate with autistic undergraduate students and their stakeholders to improve university transition outcomes for autistic students. I am passionate about empowering autistic students to successfully progress through to graduation and into employment.
