Research interests
My research centres on the radical potential of storytelling. I work at the intersection of creative and critical practice, with a particular interest in hybrid written forms. I am currently extending my existing research on transglossic literature to examine transglossic storytelling across literature, gaming, television, film, and art installation. Alongside this, I am engaged in creative practice that explores how autotheoretical writing can address questions of disability, neurodivergence, and human/animal symbiosis.
I continue to develop research on areas of previous publication, most notably representations of race in contemporary British fiction, queer and feminist poetics, critical theory, and concepts of space and place, with a particular focus on the politics of mobility.
My research is deeply informed by my own identification as a working class and disabled scholar. I am particularly keen to work with students and scholars who are invested in these and related questions of social justice.
