Designing a Community-Maintained Toolkit for Volunteer-Led Governance of Community Platforms

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Builds governance capacity for volunteer-led community organisations in Sri Lanka using Paroli, an open-source IVR/telephony community-engagement platform from Monash's Action Lab -- training Women's Development Centre community researchers, running co-design workshops on a deliberative data-governance model, and producing an open-source toolkit for other low-resource community organisations.

Layman's description

Helps a Sri Lankan community organisation run by volunteers make fairer decisions about their own data, using a simple phone-based (not internet-dependent) platform.
