Abstract
Classes of tasks and issues associated with the design of corporate information systems (CIS) are studied in this paper. Evaluation criteria and classification based on those are proposed for the principal technologies and methods involved. Further on, a generalised algorithm for the automation of CIS design process is proposed along with governing thoughts on its potential application.
