    Abstract

    This essay explores the negotiation of Gothic themes, motifs and techniques in Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and John Totleben's Swamp Thing series in relation to contemporary eco-criticism, analysing their use of the Gothic to envision and articulate a radical environmental politics.
