The SQC focused on issues of learning and teaching, and relations between students and academics. The work was reported at a conference in India, and to students, academics and university governors at Kingston University. This chapter locates the work of the SQC in a tradition of Quality initiatives, as well as a wider current context, and makes recommendations for future development.
