Abstract
In a piece specially commissioned for this collection, 'An Adult Story' explores the tropes of suffering, sentimentality and drama which dominate the imagination and continue to envelop blackness. The 'Fug‘ is increasingly like a poor B horror movie in desperate need of Get Out style skewering.
