Abstract

Ben Kelly and Brinkworth collaborated to design the interiors for the public spaces within Aviva Studios. They created adaptable, multifunctional welcome areas with a palette that references 1980’s industrial Manchester. A key design feature is a two-storey structure, which stands in the middle of the ground floor foyer, designed to be used for a range of usages from a welcome desk to a DJ booth. The structure is wrapped in perforated bright orange and blue metal which references the Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) album cover designed by Ben Kelly and Peter Saville.
