    Abstract

This digital film is one output from Eleanor's ongoing work using back projection of shadows to explore the conventions of architectural projective systems of axonometry and sciagraphy. In the piece, the shadows of Eleanor's hands can be seen assembling an architectural form out of geometric elements, effectively constructing the line drawing of shadows as the viewer watches. Once the assembly is complete, the diurnal passage of the sun animates the resulting drawing. The piece concludes with the deconstruction of the shadow drawings and the return to the blank screen.
