Fay Nicolson: abstrakt studio

I write about the art I make and the artists that inspire, engage and challenge me. My focus is on finding connections between practices, conceptual and material links that have not been previously discussed. Drawing on the work of writers I love (such as Kate Zambreno, Maggie Nelson, Claire-Louise Bennett), I utilise fragments, prosody, poetry and my own life , aiming to create something that leans towards experimentation rather than academia, and is both playfully and carefully written and edited.
