    Abstract

    Invited by Garage Museum for Contemporary Art, Moscow, Russia to deliver a Public Lecture on the work of three artists featured in the exhibition Proof —Francisco Goya, Sergei Eisenstein and Robert Longo. The lecture was part of the Image as Power lectures by international specialists, including Mark Harris and Naum Kleiman, that reflected upon the individual careers of the artists and the interconnection between their artworks.

I was one of 3 invited speakers over the course of the exhibition to give their opinion and contextualise the work of the exhibited artists. The exhibition will tour internationally, venues to be announced.
    The exhibition runs from sept 2016 to feb 2017.
    A fully illustrated catalogue, Proof: Francisco Goya, Sergei Eisenstein, Robert Longo with essays by journalist, activist, and author, Chris Hedges; artist, Vadim Zacharov; and Garage chief curator, Kate Fowle; as well as an interview with Robert Longo, was published in Russian and English.
