    Bibliographical note

Impact: Published by Intellect, MIRAJ is the first international peer-reviewed scholarly publication devoted to artists' film and video and its contexts. As a widely read journal in the diverse field of moving image it is often referred to and consulted in relation to museum screenings and events. This special issue, on 50 Years of Film and Video marks an important moment for the field, connected to wider public events that took place last year at the BFI, Tate galleries and other public venues across London and in connection with the issue's editors Ben Cook (Lux: artists moving image) and Lucy Reynolds (University of Westminster). The research and ideas in this journal connect to a wider institutional network that is international, of broad scope (art, film, media studies etc), meaning there are a number of potential public-facing pathways to impact.
