Abstract
Part of an ongoing series of Shaw stagings by Hall exploring the humanity of the characters rather than presenting them as mere mouthpieces for Shaw's opinions. The production included the rarely-performed 'Don Juan in Hell' sequence, which expands the sexual duel between the two mortal protagonists to a universal level as the two actors become their mythical counterparts.
