Curator of the event and Host: Professor Daniel Charny, Director at Forth Background: Make it Open is a programme for science education and community engagement with real world challenges. Involving the community, families and experts in projects is central to a Make it Open project. In this session, we discussed tips and tricks for getting the community and experts engaged and involved in Open Schooling, including example Lesson Scenarios where parents, the community and experts have played a key role. Open Schooling is an approach which takes on relevant local and global citizenship challenges; it can contribute to community development, and promote an active global citizenship attitude. Charny and Forth were invited into the consortium following the work and expertise developed on the Fixperts learning programme.
