Abstract

The procession is a silent walk strongly emphasising deep concentration, an introspective relation to self, an action, which ties together most sounds, visual perception and the feeling of environment into a bundle of energy present within. The Action is the attempt to bi-pass all external influences. However what kind of procession bears only one person? When by-passing all that could be assumed external, any mental arrest or reaction, there is a chance and an opportunity to get involved with a meta source of intellectual qualities. This mind-image confronts the moment of everyday life and most known communal signs, affairs and structures. It can be speculated that the two actions are somewhat connected as a journey to the center.

Signifying the ÔÇ£coming of ageÔÇØ for the IMAF festival is the time to resume realised projects during past 18 years from its humble beginnings. IMAF has grown into a serious art manifestation dedicated to international dialogue and cultural communication and challenging the viewers and people of Serbia with its sensitive past. IMAF became a place for cooperation, exchange
of experiences and cultural communication about contemporary art praxis.
IMAF was founded in Odzaci during 1998, within Multimedial Art Studio, nonprofit, non-government organisation. For the first six years it was held exclusively in Odzaci at MAS Gallery. On its seventh year
of existence, it became a visiting manifestation at Students Cultural Centre of Belgrade. After three years of exhibiting part of the program in Belgrade, for the next three years IMAF was held at IZBA Gallery in Novi Sad - Independent Art Association, Formwerk (art zone) and was the host
of the Festival during 2013 and 2014. IMAF Festival has also been held at SULUV Gallery in Novi Sad since 2012.
