Poetic homes and the daydream houses of timelessness

This thesis and accompanying poetry collection delve into the intricate interplay between metaphor, cultural identity, and the concept of home while examining the temporal dynamics of poetic expression. Chapter One interrogates how metaphors in poetry are pivotal in shaping and articulating notions of cultural identity and home. It posits that metaphoric language in poetry transcends mere ornamentation, acting as a conduit for exploring complex cultural identities and providing insights into how individuals navigate their sense of belonging amidst diverse cultural and geographical landscapes.
