Resurgence of reuse at the organisational level: a reactive development in the UK

    Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

    Abstract

This briefing forms part of a larger PhD research investigation into reuse behaviour at the organisational level in the UK. The organisations included in this sample selected from the Waste and Resource Action Programme exhibit similar features in terms of being probable leaders in the field of waste management. The types of organisations included were retailers, construction companies, waste service companies, manufacturers and third sector organisations. The briefing argues that a sudden rise in attention and the increased significance of reuse in the industry are 'reactions' to several socio-economic and environmental issues, which indeed have always been a factor; this is demonstrated through the UK waste journey.
