Abstract
We examine the extent of digital transformation within the UK arts and cultural sector since the start
of the pandemic. Drawing on the literatures of digital transformation, digital readiness, and digital
customer orientation, we present the first phase of our research: a literature review and a
netnographic analysis of arts and cultural websites that maps the scale and extent of digital
provision by region within the sector.
