Abstract
Second Nature presents a selection of works which explore what it means to inhabit a changing urban landscape, and emerges from lived realities of navigating urban rootlessness. Framed by the ironwork of the historic Smithfield market, the exhibition sits at the confluence of one thousand years of movement, belonging and renewal.
The exhibition features works by six London-based artists whose practices engage with urbanism, ecology, social connection, and memory: Mark Adlington, Milo Burridge, Thomas Cameron, Laura Copsey, Claire Ireland and Carolyn Tripp.
