    Abstract

This piece was written for Francesca Hanley and is dedicated to her. At her request, it explores a variety of unorthodox techniques: alternating normal and harmonic fingerings; flutter tonguing; singing at the same time as playing; pitch bending; wide vibrato. Despite the novelty of the soundworld, the piece is not a catalogue of effects, restricting particular techniques to different parts of the music and continuing my interest in melodic, linear writing.
