Abstract
This chapter analyses the symbolic use of space and interiors in the 1980s Hollywood teen film with a focus on the key generic sites of the genre: the shopping mall, the high school, the teenage bedroom and the family home. Films under investigation include, 'Porky's' (1981), 'The Breakfast Club' (1984) and 'Rivers Edge' (1986).
