    Abstract

Modern medicine and other high-volume chemical products used on a day-to-day basis (such as plastics) have significantly elevated the quality of life for nearly every human on the planet. Such chemicals are an irreplaceable component of a healthy society. However, the ubiquitous use and disposal methods of such chemicals after use has led to their introduction into the environment.
