    Abstract

Wooden artefacts hand made from fallen trees in Epping Forest are exhibited alongside drawings of specific significant locations. Based on walks around the landscape of Epping Forest, the work explores the nature of the picturesque and how past narratives - though still visible in the land - are often unnoticed and overlooked. Collectively the work invites us to explore the space between the past and the present, knowing and unknowing and between image and artefact. This work was exhibited as part of Selects Artists at Pick Me Up festival.
