Abstract

The Burton Mausoleum is a grade-II listed building modelled after the tent the Burtons used in Syria in the style used by nomadic Bedouin peoples. This chapter discusses visiting the mausoleum during its restoration and describes a collection of historical 'object case studies' which were found, cleaned, and restored.
