    Abstract

This piece revisits the 1:5 model originally made as one element of an installation in the version of Ken Taylor's 4m2 gallery at ASC's Art House Studios in Croydon, and which was subsequently reinstalled in the Cube's sister version in Peckham, highlighting the recursive nature of Taylor's exhibition pavilion. This large, realistic 1:5 model of ASC's Cube Gallery is also a ‟gallery” in its own right - in one window sits a replica of the model, and within that another replica, and so on until the model is just a few millimetres on each side. The opposite model vitrine window houses a series of 1:15 reproductions of Eleanor's studio furniture and artwork. For this exhibition, the piece was adapted further, and the other two vitrines were joined across the centre space of the model, forming a new 1:20 model gallery, inside the 1:5 model gallery. Miniature artworks produced for Eleanor's exhibition in her Little Lethaby gallery were adapted and re installed in the new miniature gallery.
