Abstract
The Order of Things examines the position of abstract art in our current world and how it relates to the human condition. It explores how artists have employed this approach to cross boundaries between art and science, engage with social and political issues and celebrate the material nature of the world in an age dominated by digital media.

Bibliographical note
Number of Pieces: 5Impact: Cuarted exhibition at Wilson Gallery Cheltenham.
The exhibition proposal is an adaptation of a proposal I wrote last Summer, 'The Order of Things' (after Foucault). I am now working with Andrew Bick and Jonathan Parsons on an exhibition at the Wilson Gallery in Cheltenham confirmed for this January 2017 - very soon! The intention is to tour it and include an academic publication in the final phase. We are now following a couple of themes - I am interested in the concrete and the social stream. (Andrew's summation).
