    Bibliographical note

Note: This work was supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, UK, the Henry Moore Institute for the Study of Sculpture, Leeds and Centre for Material and Visual Culture, FADA, Kingston University.

Impact: The book has been written to appeal to both the general reader as well as to those with more specialist interests in the fields of biography, visual culture and art history. News of its impending publication has already led to an invitation for me to give a public lecture in London for the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association on the subject of statues and portrait busts of Churchill that were conceived and completed during the life time of the man (i.e. pre January 1965). After the lecture will be an opportunity for the book to be formally launched.
