This article describes the provision of a photographic service for mothers and birthing people who are risk of separation from their babies due to child protection reasons. The photos are part of the resources aimed at helping to keep a connection between mother/birthing person and baby whilst legal proceedings are ongoing and to validate the magnitude of the loss and grief that the mother and birthing person experiences.
